- Captain Sanjay Mehta started his career at sea where he spent 16 years working on different vessel types and in various ascending capacities. He served as Master on Ultra Large Crude oil carriers for a few years prior moving ashore to take up an Operational position with Maersk Line Indonesia.
As General Manager- Operations for Maersk Line, he was responsible for all Liner related operations pertaining to feeder vessel and terminal operations across six principal branches in Indonesia. He was also responsible to Maersk Line for the start- up of a small container terminal in Tanjung Priok, Jakarta. Having spent over six years within the Maersk organization, Sanjay then moved to DP World which is the third largest container terminal operator in the world.
Sanjay served as Managing Director at DP World’s International Container terminal in Surabaya, Indonesia for over six and a half years where he was responsible for turning it around to be the third most profitable terminal in the DP World group of terminals.
